Hi All;
I have been looking at what people are doing to fasten a redblock with high torque in a 240 series body. There are quite some different way of doing this.
I am currently installing a B234 in straight-up position in a 245Turbo, so i will need to fabricate the mounts anyway.
I have looked at a few options:
#1 Use std mounts, but the big one on both sides. Will likely not hold 600+Nm without massive movment, but will be quiet though.
#2 Use the torque arm bushing from the rearend.
#3 Use the trailing arm bushing from the rearend. This is solid and seems to be very hard.
#4 modify 960 oem mounts. Dont know them, so need help here on how hard and sturdy they are?
What is the recommended rubbersuspension to use for minimal movement, but still not "solid mounted"?
Good suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Engine suspension
Build an arm from the enine to the body, as high as possible. Then you can use soft mounts and still handle the torqe

Re: Engine suspension
i did it this way, i probably over did it. but it worked great, the engine dident move much and i did not have much vibrations.
standard engine mounts, and a gearbox mount to the side wall.
