The dyno sheet from Thursday. The Green line is two year old and the Red line is new. Old was 520hp/640Nm at the wheel and the new one is 483hp/585Nm at the wheel. In the old one I had #14 turbine housing and in the new #16. Old one had cam timing 1.5/1.0 and in new setup it is 1.2/1.1 and maybe that is the main reason for the lower power in this case, because the boost is the same ~1.7bar in both cases.

Went to Alastaro Circuit today for test´n´tune day.
Drove 11.833/192!!!! Second best was 12.1/193@60´ 2.2 and 3rd best 12.4/193@60´ 1.909!. In those 12 second passes I couldn´t get the second gear to connect All in all I am very happy with the results! I hit the rev limiter before 402m mark and didn´t get the best 60´ time to the best pass. So, next summer I´ll try to get in the 11.5 area

Odd shit. Tested the power steering pump for the first time. Connected +12v to red wire and earth to the brown wire. The pump started although i had red somewhere that also a blue wire should have been connected to start the pump. More disturbing was that steering wheel got crazy like pressure line and return had been mixed and after that steering wheel started to turn left.
I guess that is a wrap for this season. Couldn´t get the power steering pump working as it should so no need to go tomorrow to Pesämäki. Without the power steering the steering is just horrid shit and car is drivable only on quarter mile. Maybe I put in a NG900 Saab power steering pump and put some BMW E36 steering rack and hope they work, because current solution doesn´t work at all.
Got 9 quarter mile passes for this summer and one engine explosion. So the summer didn´t go exactly as planned. Not even close. Again.

I quess the building for season 2018 has begun. Atleast the old Holset HX40Super has been sold.

New gearbox to Rekord; GS6-37DZ with welded bell housing. It should be beafy enough for ~500whp.

Removed the exhaust manifold and the down pipe. Now there is sooooooo much space in the engine bay!

Dug up a B206 block from the garage and going to drop it to machinist for skimming, boring to 90.50mm JE pistons and fitting the oil squirters. I´ll put a mildly ported head on top of this and either 10.4mm or 9.6mm Enem cams. Turbo is still undecided, but maybe AirWerks S200SXE might be fine.

Got a new clutch Audi AAN engine SRE-754 which does fit into Saab flywheel. Problem is that I haven´t found yet a Saab 9000 flywheel for 240mm clutch, because that clutch doesn´t fit into NG900 flywheel.
Removed the old 5-speed gearbox and put it aside of new 6-speed (gs6-37dz) gearbox.
After all the 6-speed gearbox did fit in the Rekord with quite little floor cutting! Next I have to make a new bracket for the gearbox and then it is hopefully time for new exhaust manifold!

Got a new turbo BorgWarner S257SX-E should be fine for ~500whp with a proper power band. I have very high hopes that this will spool earlier than old Holset. Next I have to fill up the welding gas bottle and start to make new exhaust manifold.
