Took the rear axle off because I have to adjust the four link mountings and look it it is possible to make some room for rear tires.

I got the winter car Saabel Omega finaly inspected. Well, there is still some things left to do with wiring, but atleast it is fully street legal!
It has B204L engine with B206i pistons -> compression ratio is 10:0. E85 in tank, 600x300 cooler, custom programming but otwerwise it is stock. Sooooooooooooo much better than original 2.5 liter piece of shit V6 engine All in all that front end is now about 40-50kg lighter than original setup. Battery is moved in the trunk so that makes ~10kg of the weight save.

That would be fun, but it is so warm here that there are no ice tracks Also I am afraid that clutch would slip and/or the gearbox might also slip due the grip

Got the timing set. It used to be 1.5/1.1, but all the parts are exactly the same as they were so I think the 1.3/1.0 timing is close enough the same as it was. My measurement methods may not be exact enough for 0.01 measurement tolerances

Some progress, but I don´t now is it forward or backwards? Sawed off the inner fenders and now the rear tires don´t hit the inner fenders anymore. JEJ!

Rear fenders are ready and four link mounting points are tack welded back. Now the tire fits and axle can be quite center of the fender.

Got the new engine mounts ready and tested how the engine fits. Otherwise looks good, but wastegate may need some adjusting. It is so close to chassis.

Nothing serious racing. Just some track day fun. I hope that I get this in proper running condition before 15.5. on that date there is Finnish Saab Club track day and "Saabs and cars with Saab engine are allowed on the track" So Rekord would fit there just fine . Also it would be good to do some testing. On june and july there are few quarter mile days where I am going to go. Hoping to get atleast 12.xxx time slip

If you have a Rekord you already have four-link suspension They are full blown race cars straight from the factory I fitted a Soarer front axle to this because I felt that old 271x12.7 front brakes were not enough, wheels did not turn enough and this is roughly 30 years newer design, so maybe it is better setup in general.

Got the front shocks mounted and now it is a bit lower than last year
