Got the new engine finally started today!

Pff... Haven´t got anything done, except I sold the old ECU with DASH2 and ordered a Maxxecu Race ECU.

Continuing about things I haven´t got anything done; the Caravan Rekord has been untouched for ~two years. Maybe I should continue that project also some day.

So the winter is coming and I had to buy a winter beater. Spotted add of an Opel Omega with BMW M52B28tu engine and that solved the winter car problem at once. Of course I had to test how it drifts. Put 10pcs tires on a trailer and went to Lapua last Saturday.




It kind a drifted. Under powered and over weight pig, but had a lot of fun
The engine has E36 M3 exhaust manifold, some sort of chip in ECU and M54B30 intake manifold. Therefore I had to go to dyno and check out what kind of power it makes.


138kW/233Nm at the wheel. Not an actual race car, but maybe few kilowatts more than stock?

Almost got the Saabel Rekord started with new Maxxecu. Just the RPM signal was missing. If someone knows pin order for Saab crank sensor 90451441 it would be very much appriciated

Drove the Rekord today! It was just around the garage but it counts.

Made temporary screamer pipe for dyno. Hope it actually is just temporary solution

All set in the engine bay. Saturday is the dyno day.

Well... The dyno was yesterday and the result was 85kW at the wheel. Gearbox leaked oil to the clutch and that was the end of the session. Engine felt quite goood and next dyno time will be before summer.

Checked all the bolts were tight before dyno

On the dyno. Didn´t get proper dyno pulls before the gearbox spewed oil to the clutch.



I had to leave Rekord out in the cold because starter died on the trailer. There is a slight up hil in to the garege, so I couldn´t push it there
