Very short video from dyno with poor audio

Just before christmas I booked dyno tuning at Eduel Dynopalvelut. Rekord was running and driving so it was assumed that this was quite streight forward and relatively easy. Oh boy. First we had to fiddle with ECU settings for idle air controller, fan and boost controller, because I hadn´t pre set them. Also fan relay was broken. It said *click*, but fan woudn´t do anyting. After all this hassle we got to tuning. Too bad it ended quite suddenly because gearbox oil leaked into clutch via gearbox sealing. This was only video I got shot from dyno and the clutch slip can be heared.
Luckily there is plenty of time before summer and Rekord will be in dyno condition with little fixes.

Got the exhaust pipe done. There was no room above the rear axle for 3.5" exhaust pipe, so it had to go under it. Made oval section of 2.5" pipe to get decent ground clearance. I am quite happy with the result.

Opel Omega with BMW M52B28TU engine. Hell of a lot fun



Fitment is very good. With GS6-37BZ gearbox and 3.9 rear end with LSD it is actually quite good on a track and also on a highway. Why there is a bucket in an engine bay? Ofcourse it is for fitment!

If a bucket fits in there, then also a HX35 will fit there! Plan is to drive NA ´till the spring and then add the HX35 in the engine bay

YEY. Got Saabel Rekord running again. Have to connect the oil pressure measurement to ECU before dyno, but otherwise it would be ready.

Put in a new driver seat and made some room for air filter.







Turbo location has shifted few times so the hole is getting bigger

Now the oil pressure measurement is connected. Connected also fuel pressure and fuel temperature sensors. Now it would be quite much dyno ready.

Logged oil pressure today. ~2bar@88c on 1200rpm. Should be quite much inside Saab spec for oil pressure?

Bought a "full motor" for some future project. I haven´t got a chassis yet, but the price for this engine was decent so it had to be bought. It is an aluminum block 5.3 truck engine so it is suitable for quite many applications. It weights "only" ~200kg so it is quite close to D24 or 2JZ

Tweeked drive shaft a bit and now it would be dyno ready. Again. Hopefully I can get dyno time for this weekend.

Booked dyno time for next Wednesday. Things are getting interesting Everything should be OK and ready for full pulls.

This didn't go exactly as planned. Dyno result was 350whp@1bar, but engine suffered seriously low oil pressure; 2.7bar through entire RPM band. So we decided to open the oil filter. There was a lot of metal. Not good. Have to open the engine and look what is wrong. Engine itself appeared promising and 500hp will be pushed easily at the wheel. Hope the turbo is OK
