i want to introduce myself here on the forum,

My name is Chris i'm from South Africa.

I bought a Mercedes Benz W114 1973 280 two years ago and im currently busy doing some modifications/Restoration work.
I joinned the forum because i see alot of people here with love for mercedes M104's

i have a few questions to ask.

Did you manufacture custom engine mounts?

Yes, I have custom made engine mounts. If you are in need, just let me know. What gearbox do you plan to use?

Thanks do you have any drawings or pictures of the mounts? it seems they need to be very thin otherwize the engine is too high,
I got hold of a SSangyong Diesel box which hooks up directly with the whole clutch kit. i will have to make the shifter shorter to fit the original spot though.

One of my friends is a professional and he produces all the custom parts needed for this kind of a swap. There are currently three similar Coupés under construction in Finland w/M104 engine. We use BMW 6-speed gearbox together with a custom built driveline. Driveline has an LSD from E34 and half shafts with parts from E34 and E36. Driveshaft from E46 and MB.
