Hi!,
We have recently built a turbo B230 witha B234F 16v head, standard B234F cams, forged pistons and rods etc.
We have used a Penta Aq171 timing belt and tensioner, we are also using Nuke Performance vernier adjustable pulleys, but we are having problems trying to adjust pulleys to correct amount as we cannot find much information on the cams.
If any one can help, we would need information/data on centreline for standard B234F cams, when the valves start to open/close and what lift should be measured, and anything else that would help will be awesome
Thanks!

Re: Need help with cam timing B230 16v
You can start with 1mm open (both intake and exhaust) at TDC, the exact position you have to sort out in the dyno.
If the turbo is big (good flowing exhaust) you can use the 1 mm , if turbo is small maybe 0-0.5mm on exhaust is the best (still 1mm at intake to start with and then see if power is picking up when trying a little later intake-timing)

HI Whilliam!
Sorry for late reply, big thanks! We have set the cams up now
I am going to make another thread but I have had the exhaust manifold made now, and I need a steel exhaust manifold gasket?
I have gasket but it is rubbish fibre composite which will always blow.
Do you guys know any website where I could get a good steel exhaust manifold gasket from? I cannot see any on klracing
Thanks!

Re: Need help with cam timing B230 16v
i can only find the same type that you already have:
https://www.cvi-automotive.se/en/articl ... -b204eftgt
If the flange is flat enough you can succeed with no gasket at all and smear a thin layer of stove polishing paste (should contain graphite and water dilutable stuff)
I am not sure if this is the right type:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rutland-Stove- ... Sw-W5U0oXS
But i know this one works fine! :

You can build your own gasket from sheet of copper or brass
Also a copper wire in the center of your soft (existing) gasket could do the trick!
