Re: b230 slant ?
If you have a Volvo 230 gearbox you can check the gear box angle.
It should stand straight.

Here is a discussion: viewtopic.php?p=583431#p583431
Jens is speaking about oilfill cap, and how it should be horizontal.
At this picture, it seems as if the distributor is vertical (but the picture might be lying)

Re: b230 slant ?
As some has said, oil cap, distributor, carb manifold flange (if you got one), bottom of the oil pan, gearbox.
And in the end it's not super critical, and don't forget the longitudinal angle for the driveshaft.

Re: b230 slant ?
thanks, i thought the oil cap but wasnt sure!
I dont have a dizzy on it, wasnt sure if the carb flange was straight!
Its got a is200 6 speed box on it, so i cant use the box as reference.
I had the motor in the car and i reolised i had it maybe at 10-20 degs out, it was well over, so im making new mounts. I can fit a much better exhaust now.
Is there a set length for the pipes on the exhaust too? i have a b230a, 531 head with the chamber work, 300 deg cam in it, and its about to get a set of twin stromberg 175;s on it.
thanks!!
