Quite close to start, but yet a bit away. Maybe the crank trigger is the biggest issue, but I already got the parts for it. I really should get this dynoed in May, so I can drive it a bit before Gatebil trip.

I got the parts ready but haven´t yet attached the 36-1 trigger wheel to crank pulley. Bought also a Hall sensor from TT-Speed to read the crank position. Should get this done and then it would be quite much ready for first start.

Got the LS coils fitted to valve covers
Checked the fuel pump. Luckily some previous owner had changed a Walbro 255LPH pump to this and it is enough for the current power target. I was prepared to put a Walbro 450 in the tank, but no need for that.
Also replaced original oil pressure sensor with a proper oil pressure measurement which is connected to Maxxecu. Now I can set safety limits for the oilpressure. Had to use one ecu output for the oil pressure gauge There is absolutelu no need for it, but I think it is nice that the gauge still works with new ecu

Got the crank trigger setup done. The bracket come out maybe a bit heavy duty, because I had only 5mm iron at hand. Atleast it is sturdy enough and the sensor should not vibrate 36-1 wheel got fitted into crank pulley.

Missed though the Gatebil trip with this but maybe some day I´ll get to do that also. Next step for the Typhoon is to tune it a bit, get it inspected for the road and then take a visit at the dyno

Finally it is moving on its own and it is not leaking anything. Few steps closer to get it in proper driving condition.

Yes, now it is in full driving condition. Inspected and fully road legal Have to drive on the road a bit, get torque converter lockup working, fix possible leakages and then book a dyno time

First repair after inspection; I was looking engine temps and they were a bit off. Driving low speeds temps were around 90c but at highway they dropped to 73c. I opened the thermostat cover and it was empty. Out a 91c thermostat in it and now it drops to 87 on highway, so all goood. Nice and easy fix for once

Last weekend I drove to Ahvenisto race circuit to watch historic car racing. Had to take picture for proof that I went there with Typhoon

Well, not exactly the start for the winter season as I had in mind.
On the positive side; I drove it in the garage
On the negative side; engine bearings are more or less fucked
On the planning side; next summer it will bigger turbo and working AC. Atleast the bigger turbo.
I am a bit sad I didn´t get to drive this to Gatebil this summer but hopefully some year.

Maybe it's your luck you didn't drove to Gatebil.
Better next year after a winter with dynotests.
