I`m traction limited ( no prep ), top-speed limited drag-racer. Building a high boost E85 spare engine. I would like to build quite similar engine ( same cam, top, volume and use same turbo, intake etc. ) as i have, but have more power before boost to get revs faster up against converter.
I do not like to lose any revs ( advance cam ) but i can reduce some max power.
What is your recommendation? Pros/cons and limits of that method?
Thanks

More power before spooling
Re: More power before spooling
If you keep same displacement in your engine, there is'nt doable very much, especially if you keep the same cam.
1. Compression, you can add compression it will boost power quite linearly regardless do you have boost at 100% or not.
2. Cooler charge, maybe you have put an air to water ic to your car and then go with a icewater.
3. Efficiency prop-up, i mean that you have to perfect every single variable so that you push your efficiency as high as it can go.
4. Fuel, this category is last for me and i know absolutely nothing about different fuels, but i just can't come up any more means to prop your torque.
5. Maybe nitrous...
If you build another engine with same displacement, same head, same cam, same turbo etc etc, there just isn't very much to do.
