Some paint on wheels. Those 8.5x17 wheels look a lot better than original 7x17. Seams that I have to get that 7x17 pair also widened.

I really like your project! I am building a Ascona A with a saab b234 and schwitzer s200.

Where did you buy your adapter plate?

A friend of mine made few of those adapter plates. He spotted the drawing for that plate from http://www.lowbudgetrides.com/

Didn´t have anything better to do today, so I removed balance axis chain and painted the engine.

Thanks David.

Yesterday I bought adjustable camshaft gears. Still missing better camshafts and better valve springs. Then the engine would be ready.

Looking good!

For valvesprings volvo 9135130 are commonly used in Saab engines, not too expensive if I remember correctly.

Better cams can be hard if you are on a budget, folkraceshopen in Sweden has some cams but the quality of those I have no idea about. http://www.racestuff.se/motor/kamaxlar-c-170-1.aspx sells cams and others for about the same price. Not very cheap...

If you have an old 900 or 9000 around you can take the cams from that, a bit more duration and lift but not much.

Good luck with the build othervise, are you planning on running T5 for engine management?

Yeah, I am planing to uset those Volvo springs. Camshafts I have thought Enem products because anyway camshafts will cost money and those seam to work rather well. Those older Saab camshafts are so little better, that they are not worth trying.

I am not going to use T5 engine management, though it would propably work ok. I have Tatech Pro32 engine management system.

Added a little more iron to roll cage because I am going to do lighter doors to this.

Weighted the original doors and scale stopped at 28kg each! I am aiming to make those atleast 10kg lighter. Hood weighted 18kg and fiberglass hood should be also atleast 10kg lighter.

Empty door with hinges ~8kg.

First version of polycarbonate windows. I made those from plywood because it is much cheeper to practice :) Hopefully I get my polycarbonate pieces next week and also manage to fabricate and assemble them.
