The intake runners are from g-e-t like you said. I don't know if I'm going to shorten them. I need to look up some things first before cutting them into the final lenght.

Big trouble in little belgium, I knew I would find some tricky stuff behind the paint. But this is deadly, the filler is placed on whole the fenders and it lays one the biggest part more than 1cm. The baddest thing is that the smashed the fender to the inside so its full of dents and pits so it can't repaired clean without using much of the composite thing.

So my question: how do you guys repair this? Biggest problem for me is finding good fenders. IF you can find it it cost about 4500sek for 1 side. Can you find it in glasfiber?? Adjust E30 fenders or something like that?? If not I must take another car... :?

You have to ask yourself if it's worth spending much time and money on.
If the car looks good as is, why bother?
Perhaps I forgot, but were you going to widen the fenders?

my 142 had a lot of composite material on i think one of the fenders... the left i think.. anyway is it a big problem to put on new composite material even if you get new fenders? as i said in mail i'll go check for fenders again in some time but can't promise anything, got another dumpyard near my garage ill go by there tomorrow perhaps, new car sounds pessimistic!!..

This is kind of like how I should never have removed the skirts on my BMW. You know it won't look good under there. ;)

The car is rusted and needed some attention, but I thought not as much as this. And it must be repaired cause the car must pass a control center before it can come on the road. I thought of widening the fenders once but I loved the look of the original bodywork. And widening makes it look more extreme don't you think? The money wouldn't be a problem either but since I also want to race on circuits there's always a bigger chance of damaging it sooner or later. (I hope not offcoarse)

I would love to have a car in a pretty good shape and if I know that there's more composite on the car then needed it feels like doing half a job. Let me know if you find something. Its not actually a new car, its a 164E '73 but putting in a 4cylinder engine feels so wrong.

I must pas a control and they hit with a rubber hammer on bad looking spots so I had to repair it anyway

Going to get it this afternoon and it cost me 1500sek. So after I got them I'm going to make malls for making polyester fenders in the future, since its so hard to find. So the works on the car can go on.
