Saabel Garage Pickupperjantai C1500

Project on goes. Engine was easily dropped in its place. GS6-37DZ gearbox required cutting chassis due it is bigger than stock automatic. "Bolt-on" exhaust manifolds didn´t fit properly and they had to be modified. Biggest disappointment was still the clutch pedal. This 1988 chassis didn´t have upper mounting points in the chassis, but luckily it was easy fix.

Got my Chevy finally in driving condition! Key specs; LS swapped with BMW manual gearbox, 150mm drop front and rear.

Got the pickup quite much ready. Atleast it is inspected and it is moving on its own.

It is better in every way

Few little odd bits left, but now it is time to work again on the Typhoon. First thing is to wash off the parking garage dust.



This also has few things to fix, but for the moment those doesn´t seem that big issues. Should get this ready for dyno and do test driving prior Streetweek. Plan is to go there as a spectator for the first three days and Typhoon would be a decent car for the job.
