With my new job I haven't found much time working on the car. After about a month its time to start again. Pulled out engine and removed front axle, so I can cut and weld the firewall back together.

Need to weld one more bigger piece between the new plates, then close the chassis again with a reinforing on the engine side and with backplate of a couple of mm's thick on the inside. Then I can close the right part again. After that its time to fix the passengers side.

Yesterday it was part 2 in cleaning the garage of ex-owner of the S60B230FT race car. Since I found a buyer for this car I got a reward in parts. Cleaning up the garage where the car stood. This includes parts from his race history from the '80s 240group-a car, passing his 740 with same 240 specs, a rear wheel drive 850 and as last the S60. I allready got a brand new 531 head, several 405's, racing wheels, rearaxle gears in all kinds of ratio's, shockabsorbers etc. Yesterday it were the more bigger parts

I got a dozen of Pzero's racing slicks from 16" to 17", a young B230E, a almost new B21ET, a B21ET (broken) from a belgian 244 police car, a young B230FT and a sleeved B230FK with penta crank. I don't know how long it has been laying around there, but it has been balanced not to long before it got stored. Its been handled also I think, cause it has to blue-ish shine. Not cause lack of oil, since all bearing spaces are clean of any dirt/damage. Anybody have a clue whats done to it?

The biggest problem is I got allready started with my B23 with 96.60 bore I'm going to sell these B23 rods and order B230's one and machine the pin to 24mm so I can use the B23 pistons. The B23 pistons I will make 3mm's shorter, I hope I thought of everything now.

the rough welding is done on the left side, after I'm done with the right side I'm going to clean up the welds better.

Fitted the centers from a group-a with 17" rings, with some lowering and some polished rings I would consider to fit these rims instead of the team dynamics I have. Tire size: 265 :D

Did some small cutting also:

Those rims, oh, I love them. Where those rims only made for group a?
And if they weren't, Is it something you can buy somewhere? Anyone who knows?

I know several race cars have used them, I've seen them also in regular 5*108 pattern on 240 race cars. I know also Ronal stopped fabricating the outer rings (don't know about the centers) cause they started to show cracks after couple's of hours intence racing. BBS rings fit on them, but once the 18" wheels were used many swapped on full BBS race rims instead.
