Ok. Decided to move engine towards fire wall because stock Volvo 740 prop shaft was too short.

Now the engine is in quite good spot and prop shaft fits like a glove :D Driver side exhaust manifold needs quite much cutting but it is not a big problem.

Got the exhaust system done. Bought a set of C5 Corvette manifolds, mated it with 2.5" pipe and jammed in 3.5" collector. Should be good for mildly cammed 5.3 LS :D Driver side exhaust pipe goes over the gearbox because that way it doesn´t eat out the ground clearance.

Had to relocate coils because there were no mounting points in new valve covers.

Weighted the LS. Aluminum block 5.3, no starter, flywheel, power steering pump or liquids ; 182kg. Not bad!

Got Corsa powersteering assembled.

Also put new radiator in place. It is some Nissan S14 aluminum radiator and biggest that could be fit decently. Radiator cap is about 1cm from the bonnet.

Wiring harness quite much ready, coolant lines quite much ready. Looking goood :)
I don´t know if it is possible to build car in Scandinavia without Volvo coolant expansion tank :D

Few minor problems; clutch is not engaging fully, 2&4 gear is not engaging (gear stick issue) and there are few coolant leaks. So, all in all quite good :)

Clutch started working when I adjusted clutch pedal and got more throw to cylinder. With previous SRE754 it worked perfectly, but now SRE765 requires more movement. Also gear stick needed a bit adjusting. Biggest problems were when I noticed some metal glitter on oil. It turned out that I didn´t wash and clean all the parts properly after machining and there were some metal shavings inside engine :( Luckily there were no further damages.

Now everything looks very good and therefore I booked dynotime for this Friday! On Saturday I am going to participate on grass roots drifting day :)

YESSSSSS!!!!

Got it tuned on Friday and went track on Saturday.

Had brake issues, steering was a bit funny, a little bit of heat problems, aux belt was slipping of and probably LSD is slipping also. So a bit of repairing, but anyway I got to drive! :)
Have to fix the problems and go to the track next month!

Are you using the stock accessories and deleted the power steering pump?

I did that on my car and it didnt work as good as the internet said it would. But i bought one of these and never had any more problems:

It relocates the idler pulley so the belt gets a different routing

Yes, I did exactly that and it doesn´t work at all. The aux belt keeps sliping off probably because the route from alternator to crank pulley is too long. I put a gopro shooting at the serpentine belt and that alternator -> crank side moves A LOT.
Thanks for the tip! I have to check out that relocator.
