Engine power, what do i do now?

Ok so i took my engine to get tuned, it has come out with the most power its had, but im really not happy with it. Here is the printout

the power comes in nice very low, then tails off some 20 lbs at 4500 and then goes up to 152.3. That mid range part is realyl where i need a goos spread of power. Its a rally car, so i need it to pull hard in any gear at any revs. The engine feels like its fighting against its self, i spoke to a rolling road guy today and he said that its the large duration of the t5 cam and a plenum chamber set up.

engine is

2300cc
531 head, ported
kl racing big valves
kl racing t5 cam
compression of about 11:1
cast exhaust manifold with 50mm down pipes
viking fabrications inlet
megasquirt ecu
solid lifters
adjustable pulley


is there any way i can get that torque curve straighter? I have to use the injection set up and i need to use the cast manifold if i can too. I am thinking of a less aggressive camshaft?


any ideas please?

Im no expert at this but the length (and size) of what you call the "down pipes" often makes a big difference, and maybe the place of the first muffler also.

i have looked at the sizes from what erland had said before some time ago, and they arnt far off, i only have one box, that has to be in the place it is, and a little bullet type box under the floor, its in a e36 compact so slightly different to a 240 etc.

vad har du för grenrörs längder och diametrar? kör du orginal sugmotor gjutjärn första biten? om så beskriv andra delen? 2-1 delens längder och kolektorn.

längd och diametrar på insug mm?

kamaxel instälning?

bränsle?

i measured it today, so from the flange of the cast manifold to the Y section is 560mm, then to the back box is around 2000mm... i could not measure it properly as the car is in a close garage.
